What Kate Middleton’s Topless Photos Can Teach Us

It’s all over the news, first Prince Harry’s naked party photos in Vegas, now Kate Middleton’s topless photos in France. Oh and there was even the little issue about Prince Phillip’s kilt flashing some royal bits on a windy day. What is it with these royals and nudity? And more importantly, what can we learn from them?

1. Know your boundaries. Don’t sunbathe topless in places where people can hide in the bushes with a really big camera lens. When it comes to your voice overs, keep to the same advice. You can experiment with sound effects and different voice styles, but once you find a formula that works, stick to it.

2. react quickly. As soon as those images emerged, the royals presented a scathing statement and immediately pressed charges. Make sure you keep up with the ever changing voice over industry, whether that means trying out new voice artists or coming up with a creative new strategy for your audio production. To keep ahead of your competition, you have to be able to be flexible.

3. Maintain a unified front. The British monarchy has always striven to maintain their public image of regal grace and propriety. Even when that image comes under fire, they approach the situation with the same strategy they always have. Make sure you are using a high quality audio production studio and keep your content in the same style to help you keep your message the same across all avenues.

4. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Honestly, kudos to Kate for having a private life and not being too uptight and afraid of what people might think. I’m sure it would be very easy to become a royal robot and coast on auto pilot. Don’t be afraid to loosen up a little and change things up every now and then with your commercial voiceovers. Have a little fun and show your human side, because that is what your customers will relate to.
