Media Sound’s managing director and skilled audio engineer, Ben Harrison, has been invited to judge the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs).

The Australian audio production group has played a significant part in the industry, with Ben having won a few ACRAs throughout his 15 years working in commercial radio.

Ben said it was nice to be on the other side, he said the quality of the entries this year were outstanding and very close. “There really is a great caliber of entries this year. The talent is getting fiercer and more creative. It really is going to be difficult choice.

“Radio is a burgeoning industry, and with the Internet, professional audio is being streamed 24-7. It’s great to see that Australia has such huge talent to help businesses stand out from the crowd.

“Unlike other traditional marketing channels, radio is here to stay and is growing from strength to strength … I’m really looking forward to seeing the up-and-coming talent,” said Ben.

The ACRAs is an annual event that showcases and rewards the various talents working in commercial radio, from voice artists, to creative writers and audio engineers.

This year the Awards will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and will be taking place from 12th – 13th October 2012.
